Basalt
Volcanic surface rock. Melt it into slabs for fast paths.
Game version 0.20.0-dev
How to obtain
Depth is measured below the local terrain surface; Y is a world-local height, not depth. These are generation limits, not guaranteed finds. Caves and liquid can replace ore-bearing rock.
| Biome | Source | Minimum depth / Local Y |
|---|---|---|
| Crystal | Surface deposits | Surface deposits |
| Lava | Surface deposits | Surface deposits |
| Abandoned machine world | Surface deposits | Surface deposits |
| Relic scrapyard | Surface deposits | Surface deposits |
| Resonant wastes | Surface deposits | Surface deposits |
Approximate terrain abundance
Approximate statistical comparison of newly generated terrain over the same area. Sampled volume is not the total supply on a planet.

How the comparison works
The same resource at home is the 100% reference. A zero result means none in this sample, not proof that the resource cannot generate.
Volumes are means across the sampled seeds. The volume cell tooltip gives the smallest and largest measured samples.
Only terrain materials and liquids are measured. Separately placed crystals and other objects are excluded.
