Trade stations

Trade, expedition contracts and ship services

There are four unique stations in the entire universe. Freeport is in the home galaxy; the other three occupy different distant galaxies. Their sectors depend on the world seed. Scan the appropriate sector to discover a station.

Markets use shared stock. A new shipment arrives after 30–50 minutes of continuous station absence during active play. Any arrival resets the absence timer; accelerated planetary days and time outside the game do not count.

Field infrastructure commissioning

Contracts

Bring the matching work ship to accept this job. An ordinary ship cannot carry the complete device or its specialist equipment.

Accepting reveals a new planet in an already surveyed sector. Its coordinates remain with the crew permanently.

Work advances only at the physical site with a suitable ship. Range: 3 m.

Survival and hazards ↗

Deliver contract and collect reward

Return to the station that issued the contract.

Bring the recovered device back in the ship that collected it.

Abandon contract

Spent components are not refunded. The discovered planet stays on the map.

Krtek
Krtek · Properties ↗

Krtek

Get Krtek at Freeport. Bring it in a work ship or have it delivered.

Choose an area on the map and order the resources you need. Collect them from Krtek by hand, or connect an MK2 depot and let drones collect them. Krtek holds 10,000 items and runs on nutrient solution, which you can supply through a pipe.

One Krtek per saved world. Shared by all players.

Collect with your work ship

20,000 credits

Arrive in a work ship. Collect Krtek and its home as cargo, then place them at home in build mode.

Delivery by courier

25,000 credits

20,000 credits + 5,000 credits

Take the beacon home in any ship, including MK1. Open build mode, select the delivery beacon and place it on a clear, level site for Krtek’s home. The courier will bring Krtek and its home there.

One-time order

Enter how much Krtek should bring home. This order is completed once. Krtek collects the whole order before bringing it home. It may return earlier if cargo is full or nutrient solution runs low.

Collected resources still count as delivered. Once the order is complete, Krtek waits for a new one.

Maintain stock

Enter how much to keep across the connected MK2 depots. Krtek replaces resources as you use them.

Resources with Krtek or on a drone are shown as on the way. They count towards the target.

Drones and automatic restocking require an MK2 depot.

Choose mining area

Travel to this world to choose its mining area.

Click to move the area. Confirm saves it as Krtek’s only active area; Back keeps the original. Drag to pan; scroll to zoom.

  • Finish or cancel the order, then wait for Krtek to return and unload before changing the area.
  • Waiting for buildings to be removed from the mining zone. To choose another area, cancel the order and wait for Krtek to return.
  • Waiting for the path to clear. A player, character or another Krtek is in the way.
